India & China are ahead of the best western equity markets hundreds of percent since 2000.
This has been a macro theme of ours since the year 2000 which will probably run for the rest of my lifetime. China and India have been the fastest growing economies and markets for seventeen years, and they will continue to be. The “mean” to which the planet is reverting has these two markets as the top. For 18 of the last 20 centuries, they were always the two biggest economies. Our chart shows that when put into US dollars the UK, French and other markets of Europe are all lower than they were in the year 2000. The US is the only one up in that period. It is the best of the West. It is up a net 70% in capital terms. That sounds great until you realize that if instead you had been in China and India you would have been up between 300% and 700%.
